These black door knobs are designed for use on wooden doors for simple opening and closing. They are unsprung and would rely on the mortice lock/latch for operation. These door handles internal sets can provide latching where no locking is required. They can also be used with appropriate mortice locks if locking is needed. The mortice latches/locks are not supplied. They are suitable for all types of internal wooden doors.
