The deep violet-blue, pea-like flowers also fill the air with a delightful fragrance. As with other Japanese Wisterias, the blooms appear alongside the green, pinnate leaves. Growing Information: Plant Wisteria in a sunny or semi-shaded location with moist, well-drained soil. To protect flower buds from damage by hard spring frosts, choose a sheltered spot.
