William Morris designed Marigold and registered it as a wallpaper in 1875. The pattern features large marigold flowers nestled among sprays of willow-like leaves. Later in 1875, Morris registered the design as a printed cotton, making it one of just three designs he intended to produce as both a textile and wallpaper.
