Weigela ‘Magic Carpet’ is a fantastic new variety with unique apricot orange foliage. This deciduous, low maintenance shrub has a dwarf and bushy habit, making it perfect for small gardens and container growing. In addition to its colourful leaves, plants become smothered with pink, bell shaped blooms in spring and early summer. ‘Magic Carpet’ looks particularly pretty when planted alongside with purple-leaved plants. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots.
