The Skimmia japonica ‘Rubella’ is a compact male skimmia, with reddish, deep green elliptic evergreen leaves. It produces dark red flower buds in the Autumn and throughout the Winter. In the early Spring the buds open with lovely fragrant star shaped white flowers. Skimmia are ideal for growing in Autumn or Winter container displays or using to fill gaps in borders.
