You don't need to plant both autumn and summer fruiting varieties when you choose Raspberry 'Twotimer Sugana'. This prolific primocane variety produces fruit from August to October and again the following June. After your initial harvest from August to October, simply leave some of the strongest canes untrimmed. These canes will yield another crop the following June, while the current year's canes will produce fruit again from August to October. This robust raspberry is perfect for limited spaces and can even be grown in containers without sacrificing yield. Each firm fruit averages 5.4g. Height: 1.5m (59"). Spread: 50cm (20"). Suppled as 1 x 9cm potted plant.
Growing Information
Plant raspberry varieties in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Before planting, enrich the soil with plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. This compact variety will need some support, such as a framework of wires stretched horizontally between two posts. If you're growing raspberries in containers, use a wigwam of canes to support their tall stems.
