Radish 'Amethyst' is an excellent crop to grow in containers, window boxes and greenhouse borders. The rich purple radish roots have a slightly metallic sheen and crisp white flesh that is slow to turn pithy – a particularly attractive addition to salads. This RHS AGM variety has strong foliage which makes harvesting them easy. Sow regularly for continuous succulent roots throughout the summer. Culinary note: some parts of these flowers are edible.
