Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods. Can also be sown outdoors in August to September for early summer flowering next year.When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.Caution: harmful if eaten.Culinary note: All poppies are poisonous. However, the seeds produced by somniferum and paeoniflorum poppies only can be eaten. Typically, they are used in bakery recipes.
