This charming, self-fertile tree features glossy foliage and eye-catching, funnel-shaped orange flowers that grace its branches throughout the summer months. The leathery-skinned, brown fruits emerge at the base of the flowers and mature during mild autumns, ready for harvest in October and November. Delight in the sweet-tart flesh of these fruits in both desserts and savoury dishes, or extract the pomegranate 'kernels' to create a fragrant juice. Despite its association with warmer climates, Pomegranate 'Provence' proves surprisingly resilient in the UK, capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -15°C (5°F) when provided with shelter. In colder regions, it can thrive in a sizable container, easily transported to a warmer location during the winter months. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 1.5m (5'). Supplied as a potted plant in a 20cm nursery grow pot.
