Victoria' is Britain’s best-known plum and undoubtedly the Nation’s favourite. Reliable and British-bred for the garden, ‘Victoria’ flowers in April before producing heavy crops of egg-shaped, medium-sized plums. Ideal for both eating fresh or cooking, the fruits make delicious crumbles, pies and jams and can be harvested in late August. Self-fertile, this variety does not require a pollination partner to fruit. Grow in full sun for the best crops. Estimated time to cropping once planted: 2 years. Estimated time to best yields: 4 years. Supplied as a bare root tree on Maiden St Julien Rootstock – semi-vigorous, reaching a mature height of up to 4.5m.
