Perfect for you, your garden and your furry friends, Nepeta racemosa ‘Grog’ is a new arrival for 2024 which adds fragrance, colour and weed suppressing groundcover to your garden. Commonly named ‘Catmint’ or ‘Catnip’ one of the intriguing features of this plant is that cats will go mad for it – fresh or dried - they will roll in it, play with it and even eat it. Pollinators also find ‘Grog’ beneficial but not in such dramatic ways! The silvery green foliage of Nepeta racemosa ‘Grog’ emerges in April, remaining right through to October time offering shimmering interest and a spicy, subtle fragrance. From June to September spires of blue-purple flowers, up to 50cm tall, with an equal spread, bring scent and splendour for borders, rockeries and containers. Plants prefer well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Drought tolerant once established, locate in full sun or partial shade. ‘Grog’ is a fully hardy, herbaceous perennial
