These stunning small and compact pompom like white double blooms are perfect for smaller gardens. With a stunning orange blossom perfume these plants are ideal for attracting bees and other pollinating insects to the garden. Grow Philadelphus plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well-drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Mock Orange plants at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil. Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Philadelphus requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
