This aluminium garage sign features the famous Mobilgas logo. Now part of the ExxonMobil petroleum conglomerate, the Mobilgas (and latterly "Mobil") branding could be seen outside petrol stations all over the world. This garage plaque features the flying horse pegasus design, which came into use in 1930's. The colours and details on this sign are screen-printed, which allows for an incredibly precise and accurate finish. This technique makes the red, white and blue Mobilgas brand colours really "pop". The flying pegasus is finished in red, while the word "Mobilgas" appears below in blue. This lovely piece of vintage-style advertising automobilia comes with pre-drilled holes, making it easy to hang in a workshop, garage or office.
