SUNLIGHT: These plants require at least six hours of daylight. They are best positioned in a sunny sheltered spot in a border or container. SOIL: Hardy hibiscus plants like to be planted in well-drained soil. They do well in loam, peat-free compost. CARE: During the winter months, cut back to a leaf node at a desired height. The hibiscus will then re-flower during the months May to June. It's also best to remove any dead wood near the centre to allow more air to circulate. WATERING: Water hardy hibiscus shrubs every week in the summer and twice a week in scorching weather, water enough so that the soil is evenly moist. Hold off watering too much in winter months, water enough to prevent soil drying out.
