Gooseberry 'Captivator' is a Canadian-bred variety with superb hardiness! This hardy shrub produces pale-green fruits, which ripen through pink to a deep burgundy colour and offer a slightly tart flavour. Strong-growing and with a spreading habit, the branches gently droop when fully laden with fruit. ‘Captivator’ is a trouble-free fruit bush for a sunny or semi-shaded position, with excellent resistance to mildew and leaf spot. Gooseberry fruits can be harvested from late July and used in cooking or eaten fresh from the plant. Height and spread: 120cm.
