A delightful cross between raspberries and blackberries, this fully hardy, self-fertile, deciduous shrub is a fantastic addition to any kitchen garden or allotment. The uniquely flavoured fruits resemble red blackberries and can be harvested from July to August. They are ideal for cooking, freezing, making jam, or enjoying fresh off the bush. Tayberries typically yield more fruit than Loganberries, so let the berries ripen fully to a deep purple-red for the best flavour. Height: 2m (6'). Spread: 2.5m (8'). Please note that plant height and spread vary seasonally; we provide pot size instead of a fixed plant size. Therefore, the size of the delivered plant may differ from what is shown in images. Supplied as 3 x 9cm potted plants.
Growing Information
Plant tayberry bushes in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Before planting, enrich the ground with plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. Support the stems with a framework of wires stretched between sturdy 1.8m (6') posts, or train them against a trellis or wall.
