A great choice for stunning late spring colour in the garden! Wisteria sinensis 'Prolific' is so named for its prolific display of fragrant flowers. This hardy climbing shrub produces stunning, scented pendants of lilac-blue blooms, which drape from its branches. This classic cottage garden climber fills the air with a sweet perfume from May to June each year, attracting bees and other pollinating insects to the garden. A little less vigorous than other wisteria, this variety reaches a mature height of 9m and has a spread up to 5m. Wonderful as a specimen plant for training onto sunny walls and ideal for covering unsightly walls and outbuildings. Supplied as a grafted plant in a 1.5-litre nursery pot.
