Variety | Lonicera |
Lonicera x tellmanniana, an RHS Award of Garden Merit winner, thrives in bright, south-facing locations, making it ideal for adding a splash of tropical colour to walls and fences or enhancing exotic planting schemes. From late spring to midsummer, this twining, deciduous honeysuckle produces elegant whorls of fragrance-free, bright orange tubular flowers that stand out beautifully. Its unique coloration sets it apart from other varieties. Height: 5m (16’). Spread: 2m (6’).
Growing Information:
Plant honeysuckle against a sturdy support, such as trellis or strong wires attached to walls and pergolas, in fertile, moist, free-draining soil. Enhance poor soil by incorporating plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. Select a position in full sun or semi-shade. For honeysuckle grown in patio containers, use soil-based compost like John Innes No. 3.
Supplied as 1 x potted plant in 9cm nursery grow pot.
