Dauphin is a warm mid-toned brown. Like Farrow & Ball's Salon Drab, it's inspired by 19th-century interiors, in which these 'drab' shades – originally inspired by the undyed wool of the same name – were very popular. Try it with the darker London Stone on woodwork for a sophisticated finish.
