Extra Curled Cress is a versatile and nutritious salad crop that thrives year-round. This variety is easily cultivated outdoors during the summer and indoors throughout the colder months. Seeds can be sown at any time of the year, offering flexibility in cultivation. To grow, simply sow seeds in trays of compost or on the surface of cotton wool pads, flannel, or kitchen towel. Ensure the growing medium is moistened well and spread the seeds thickly over the surface. Place the container or saucer in a warm location, covered with a polythene bag for germination. For outdoor sowing, select a partially shaded area with reasonably moist garden soil. Sprinkle the seeds liberally on the soil surface, covering with a mat or thick brown paper until germination occurs. Keep the soil moist until harvest. Once germinated, move the seedlings to a warm, well-lit location while maintaining moisture in the growing medium. Cress is typically ready for harvest in approximately 10-14 days after sowing. Remember to keep the seeds in darkness until germination to promote optimal growth. Supplied as 1 x packet of 2000 seeds.
