Cosmos bipinnatus has tall, ferny foliage topped with bright, single blooms ranging from glacial white to carmine pink to provide bold splashes of colour to the back of borders. Mingling beautifully with summer flowering perennials, their strong stems and good vase life make Cosmos an excellent cut flower too. Remember to leave some blooms for pollinating insects – they will thank you for leaving a valuable source of nectar. Quick and easy to grow, Cosmos bipinnatus virtually looks after itself once established. The Kew Pollinators range of seeds from Thompson and Morgan has been specially created alongside the experts at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to attract and support a wide range of pollinators, including bees, butterflies and beetles, as well as a number of other important pollinating insects. Helping these pollinators to thrive is hugely important for our eco-system as a whole and these seeds, in their striking packaging inspired by artwork from the Kew archives, will help to create the environment which they need to thrive, with varieties chosen to help a wide range of pollinating insects, including some night flowering plants to help moths which also play an important part in our gardens.Product specifications:Position: Full SunHeight: Up to 120cm when fully establishedSpread: Up to 60cm when fully establishedSupplied as 1x Cosmos bipinnatus Kew Pollination Collection seed packet (approx. 200 seeds)Flowering period – July to OctoberImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
