Dramatic and evergreen foliage to be proud of - Cordyline produce an impressive show for more-or-less any garden. With burgundy and apricot evergreen leaves that behave themselves as they grow, retaining a compact look, this variety is ideal a pot. A distinct silhouette will even develop and string stems become more noticeable as older base leaves shed. Summertime can bring small clusters of aromatic white flowers, which grow in clusters, followed by white-blue fruits. Over time, Cordyline branch into small trees that closely resemble palms, creating a unique year-round look for many years to come. Easy to grow, Cordylines need little maintenance and pruning, saving for the removal of dead leaves in spring. Plant in a pot and grow outside through the summer before moving to a protected space such as a greenhouse or conservatory for winter. As the plants mature, they become more frost hardy so can be left outside in all but the coldest weather.
