Godetia 'Pink Buttercups' produces vibrant pink blooms throughout the summer appearing on the sturdy, upright stems and grass-like foliage. Perfect for planting in meadow schemes for a long lasting display with a delightful relaxed appearance. Direct sow Godetia seeds outdoors where they are to grow from March to May. Choose a position in full sun on well drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, at a depth of 15mm (⅙in) in drills spaced 30cm (12”) apart and cover the seed with its own depth of soil to exclude light. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination usually takes 7 - 14 days. When Clarkia seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 20cm (8”) apart. Feed and water plants frequently throughout the summer to promote an endless supply of delicate Godetia flowers.
