Variety | Anemone |
Japanese Anemones are often large, vigorous perennials that can easily dominate narrow borders—but not Anemone hupehensis 'Praecox'! This variety is more compact and shorter, making it easier to incorporate into mixed plantings with other perennials. It produces dark pink flowers that dance atop slender, upright stems, rising above a mound of deeply lobed foliage. Blooming from August through autumn, this hardy perennial brings vibrant late-season colour when many other plants have started to fade. The nectar-rich flowers are also a favourite of bees and other pollinators. Height and spread: 60cm (24"). Supplied as 1 x 3 litre potted plant.
Growing Information
Plant Anemone in moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. These plants are generally low-maintenance and long-lasting once established, but avoid overly wet conditions in winter.
