KENT BEAUTY - Oregano Kent Beauty is a live ornamental semi evergreen trailing Origanum subshrub. This low growing aromatic outdoor perennial shrub in a 10.5cm growing pot, produces pink and apple green round leaved bracts that resemble hops. During July to September dainty lilac pink flowers appear. POLLINATOR FRIENDLY - This fast growing pollen rich plant with its scented flowers is loved by bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Growing to a height between 10 and 30cm, with a spread of up to 60cm this clump forming plant is excellent for growing in beds, borders, and rock gardens. It is also ideal for growing on top of a wall or in hanging baskets, where it will trail downwards. GROWING CONDITIONS - Kent Beauty is best grown in full sunlight but can cope in semi shade, growing in a variety of soil types but in particular well draining, neutral to alkaline soil. This subshrub is frost hardy, dying back in the Winter where it will return in the Spring. Ensure that it is well watered during the growing season at least every 1 to 2 weeks, but avoid growing in an area that becomes excessively wet in the Winter. CUT FLOWER - This plant's delightful colourful bracts can be cut when in full bloom and used in fresh flower arrangements or hung upside down and allowed to dry, to be used in dried floral arrangements or in craft projects.
