PURPLE PASSION - Gynura aurantiaca Purple Passion as known as the Velvet Plant is a real evergreen perennial houseplant that has vivid purple and emerald coloured furry velvet like leaves. This unusual trailing plant in a 12cm pot is air purifying and pet friendly. It matures quickly, growing from a small plant to a busy plant in no time at all. Growing between 10 and 20 cm in height. SUNLIGHT - The Purple Passion grows best in bright, indirect light, so a North or East-facing window is best. The brighter the light, the stronger the leaf colouring will be. This jungle-like plant can be displayed in a hanging planter or on a shelf allowing its leaves to trail downward. WATERING - Water your plant when the top inch or so of the soil is dry, and take care not to let it completely dry out. Gynura can be prone to root rot, so allow the soil to dry out between waterings and ensure the plant is not left sitting in water. During the Winter months, cut back on how much water the plant receives. HUMIDITY LOVING - As Gynura thrive in a humid warm environment, it is a great plant to keep on bathroom window sills, since the steam from your shower or bath will keep the air moist.
